Percy Jackson thought he was a typical 21st century American teenager, until he discovered he was the son of a Greek god!

And, if that is not excitement enough, he has to learn how to work with his newly-discovered powers, rescue his mother and prevent a war among the gods.

The movie has been adapted from the first book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, written by Rick Riordan. It is directed by Chris Columbus, the man who was also responsible for two of the Harry Potter movies. Fans are hoping that this adaptation will prove just as popular.

I have read the book and most of the Harry Potter books and I think Harry Potter is WAY better. Harry Potter has a lot more mystery. Percy Jackson is quite obvious if you know your Greek Gods.
