Miley Cyrus
Who doesn't love Miley Cyrus at the moment? She's on the cover of top magazines, shaking up the US Billboard charts with her single See You Again and acting in her very own hit Disney TV show Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds. In fact, as Disney was floundering to combat competition on the animated front, it was the likes of Miley Cyrus and her contemporaries, which have seen the brand diversify. Miley's Best of Both World's Tour from the Hannah Montana TV series (in which she plays a high school student by day moonlighting as a famous pop-star called Hannah Montana) has been a sell-out in the US and made Miley Cyrus a bonafide tween queen! Despite her sugar-sweet looks and sparkly outfits, Miley's voice is deep, gravelly and accented with a heavy Southern twang (reminiscent of her Dad Bill-Ray Cyrus' voice).
Taken from her sell-out concert Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds Concert is an up-beat collection of Miley's best pop offerings, perfect for teen parties and sleepovers. Added value comes in Miley's collaboration on "We Got the Party" with tween heartthrobs and fellow Disney money-magnets The Jonas' Brothers. Another single to note on the album is "See You Again" which peaked on the US Billboard charts at number 10. Other highlights include the Spanish-accented and guitar heavy track "Let’s Dance" which is reminiscent of the Spice Girls "Spice Up Your Life" in its sections of rap and honest celebration of being young and girly! Track 14 "The Best of Both Worlds" may well be the most well known of songs on the album. Although it was not a mainstream chart-topper, the single is the theme song of Disney's number 1 rating Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds TV series and the song also peaked at number 1 on Disney Radio's weekly countdown.
In addition to being a pop superstar and talented actress, Miley has also co-written 3 of the 14 tracks on the album, impressive for someone of just 15 and certainly great incentive for youngsters looking to challenge themselves musically.
